Africa Rising Empowerment Trust established
2014
An NPO established as an empowerment vehicle for employees of the Afris Group of companies.
Business model shift
2019
The business model of the Afris Group changed to place more emphasis on principal investments and less on advisory services.
Africa Rising Petrochem established
2020
Established to trade petroleum products to mining companies and other corporates.
Africa Rising Explosives established
2021
Established to partner with Sasol South Africa Limited and Enaex SA, a Chilean-based multinational conglomerate.
The Karen Gantsho Foundation established
2023
Created to invest more resources in basic education and access to drinking water in selected rural villages in South Africa.
