We provide corporate and project finance advisory services to select clients — a smaller part of what we do today, alongside our own proprietary investments.

We make strategic investments in the mining, processing, exporting, and marketing of (a) bulk commodities, such as manganese and iron ore, and (b) future-facing minerals such as lithium, nickel, and cobalt (for battery metals and energy storage); copper (an undisputed backbone of the energy transition, EV manufacturing, and the power needs of AI data centres); and rare earth elements (used to manufacture permanent magnets for wind turbines and EVs).

We provide technical services to support proprietary and third-party mining activities, driving efficiency through process improvement, working capital management, and energy transition initiatives.

Africa Rising Petrochem (Pty) Ltd

As a licensed wholesale trader, we supply diesel and other petroleum products to proprietary and third-party mining operations and the broader economy.

Africa Rising Explosives (Pty) Ltd

We invest in leading international and regional players that supply commercial blasting products and solutions to the Southern African mining sector.

Ikusasa Water (Pty) Ltd & Ikusasa Chemicals (Pty) Ltd

We build, operate, and maintain water treatment plants for local governments and private-sector industry. We also manufacture and supply water treatment chemicals to third-party water treatment plant operators — securing pure water value chains from tap to plant.

We invest in building capability in data infrastructure — data centres, fibre and satellite connectivity, and artificial intelligence — for Africa’s next wave of growth.
